Alfa Romeo Giulia is set to get cancelled

It’s about time the Italians get off their collective backsides and knock out a competitor to the BMW 1-Series coupe. Something a bit like the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint of the 1960s in that it should be a two-door, three-box Bavarian-killer with a sweet-as-silk motor and looks to die for. Romanian industrial designer Prodan Dragos no doubt agrees.

His Alfa Romeo Giulia Concept packs a 180 hp (134 kW) petrol engine mated to an 80 kW electric motor and a 6spd manual transmission. It also has a lightweight body crafted out of aluminium and carbon fibre-reinforced polymer, with polycarbonate windows to further save on weight.

The very aesthetically pleasing Alfa Romeo Spider, which is also sometimes referred to as "Spyder", shared many competent of the Giulia. With four wheel assisted disc brakes, independent suspension to the front, and coil suspended to the back in the same fashion as the Giulia. The Alfa Romeo Spider is considered a classic which has been successfully produced for a long run, with only minor cosmetic and mechanical alterations made to the car.

Powered with the same 1600cc engine as in the Sprint GTV, producing 109bh with four cylinders, the Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto (as it was commonly known) had a five speed transmission and disc brakes. The framework was lifted from the Giulia 105 series, sporting crumple zones, an innovation for the time. After two years of production of the Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto the car was revised and the 1800cc 1750 Veloce was born and was passed the baton from the Duetto.

The new Alfa Romeo Spider 1750 Veloce had no notable cosmetic changes from previous variations of the Spider, due to the aesthetics being (and remaining) very popular. The main alterations to the 1750 Veloce were to the electronics, suspension and braking system. Just like the 1750 Veloce proceeded the Duetto, the 1750 Veloce was finally superseded by the 2000.

BMW 745i Realased

Many will claim the E65 7-Series was Chris Bangle’s most controversial design during his time at the helm of BMW's styling division. And they could be right. Even though close to a decade has passed since the presentation of the E65, its styling has yet to grow on many fans of the brand.

But if you think that the regular 7-Series looked odd, then wait until you get a glimpse of this stud found –where else- on eBay: a 2003 745i sporting a two-tone black and silver paintjob, high-riding on massive 24-inch chrome wheels and decorated with more chrome bits than a 1959 Cadillac Eldorado.

BMW 7 Series Performance Parts

The BMW 7 Series is inherently designed to be a comfort tourer but you can still improve performance, sound and response with an exhaust, intake and ECU tune. The 750i V8 engine is very well designed from the factory but can benefit from an Eisenmann Exhaust or Remus Exhaust that will deepen the tone without compromising daily use and comfort. In addition, you will want to complement the freer flowing exhaust with an aFe Intake System or aFe Replacement filter to maximize air flow and minimize bottlenecks. The Active Autowerke ECU software is the best option for a custom tune that takes into account these modifications and maintains the stock longevity.

BMW 7 Series Wheels

The BMW 745i has a conservative wheel design that makes the car look boring and mundane. Custom Forged Wheels such as HRE, DPE and ADV1 will give the car a unique look while minimizing weight gain with a larger wheel. These custom wheels fill out the fender and provide a unique look without ruining the factory design.

BMW 7 Series Exterior Parts

The new F01 7 Series is an exceptional design but can be further improved with the Vorsteiner VR7 series of aerodynamics. The front add on spoiler and rear lip will give the new 750i a more aggressive look while integrating into the original factory lines to ensure the design flows well with the overall look of the 7 series.

The angel eyes can be upgraded with WeissLicht LED Angel Eyes to provide a xenon white output and the low beam xenons can be improved with D1S Xenon Bulbs in 6000k for a xenon white color match. Finally, the front grill set can be replaced with gloss black bmw grills that will give the car a piano black look on the front end.

BMW 7 Series Suspension

It is not recommended to make the car very stiff as it is a luxury automobile but you can make it more responsive and stable at high speeds with the H&R Sport Springs. These are a direct spring replacement that will firm up handling without being too aggressive for daily use. They are fully compatible with the OE BMW shocks and will maximize response without ruining the factory comfort ride.
